CASA HERRADURA - ACCESS PAVILLION

Tequila, the popular mexican drink, is the first step to a unique experience. Visitors from all ver the world are taken from Guadalajara to Amatitán on board of the Tequila Express railroad to witness the production process of this distillate, only made in Jalisco.

Hacienda Herradura works as the epicenter of this experience, however, the lack of a worthy entrance led to this project: a monumental access through a metallic prism as a stele.

The chosen materials were based on textures and colors found in Amatitan and Tequila to create a cultural fusion with a contemporary character between exposed concrete and steel, without losing the harmony next to the elements inside the antique hacienda.

This project intends to surpass the sculptural element so it can be part of those works of contemporary architecture and their most basic concepts; leaving trends aside and seeking for ways of living the space so the user to echoes into the atemporal.
